Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2014 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
Im looking for everything required to flat tow a 2014 Toyota 4Runner. I am installing a Remco drive line disconnect, but I still need a tow bar, base plate, wiring, braking system and.... Who knows what else. Can you help tell me what I need? Thank you!

I would be happy to help you get the correct equipment so that you can flat tow your 2014 Toyota 4Runner. Keep in mind that since your manual says not to flat tow your 4Runner with all 4 wheels on the ground that any damage that could potentially be done would not be covered under your warranty even if you have disconnected the rear drive shaft.
You almost had everything in your list! To flat tow your 4Runner you will need a Tow Bar, Safety Cables, Base Plate Kit, Wiring, a Supplemental Braking System, and possibly a High-Low Adapter.
A great Tow Bar option is the Roadmaster Falcon 2 # RM-520. This has a weight capacity of 6,000 lbs and has telescoping arms to help with maneuvering. One of the great things about this tow bar is that you can simply fold it up while it is still installed in you RV's hitch receiver for storage. The RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 will work well with this tow bar.
For a Base Plate Kit you will need to use the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit # 1185-1 which has removable arms for a clean look when you are not towing your 4Runner.
For Wiring I recommend going with the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This kit provides a connector at the front of your 4Runner to make connecting and disconnecting from your RV quick and easy.
The Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR is what I recommend using for a Supplemental Braking System. It is very easy to install and is pretty much universal with any flat towing setup.
To determine whether or not you need a High-Low Adapter I have attached a helpful article as well as our list of available adapters.
I have also attached some review videos for you to check out.
