How To Install A Brake Controller On A 1996 Dodge Ram

I have been looking for a brake control for my 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 diesel. Most of the ones I have been looking at come with cables that plug in, but yours you strip the wires and push them in. am I right about this.?

The most popular and well reviewed brake controller we carry is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195. In order to install this brake controller on your 1996 Dodge Ram, you will want to use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3020-P.

As this is a complete plug and play option, you will not need to hardwire or strip any wires. You simply need to locate the factory brake controller connector located underneath the driver's side kick panel.
