Will Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S510 Work With Factory Crossbars On 2010 Honda Pilot
Question:
Hi, Planning on purchasing the S 510 Rhino-rack J style carrier for my 2010 EX Honda Pilot. Vehicle has factory installed roof rack with cross bars. Will appreciate if I can get answers to the my questions below - Q 1. Can you tell me If I need to purchase any extra brackets or screws to make the mounting brackets work on the OEM crossbars besides the ones supplied? Q 2. How many straps / tie-downs are included with the carrier 2 or 4? Do I need to purchase extra tie-downs that go in the front and back of the kayak I have a 12foot sit in kayak?

The Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S510 will work with the factory crossbars on your 2010 Pilot. You will not need additional brackets or screws to mount the carrier.
This carrier comes with 2 tie-down straps to secure the kayak to your crossbars, and 2 bow and stern tie-down straps to secure your kayak to your Pilot.
It can be difficult to find places on the vehicle to attach the bow and stern tie-downs so I recommend the Rhino-Rack Anchor Strap # RRRBAS. Just attach these to your bow and stern tie-downs and close the other end in the trunk or inside the rear hatch.
