You will need the following items to install the P2 brake controller, # 90885 on your 2006 F-150 without a trailer towing package.
First you will need the brake controller with wiring harness, item # 90885-3035-P. The wiring harness will plug into the brake controller and into the connector under the dash.
Finally, you will need the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, item # 37185, which will plug into your existing 4-Way connector. If you do not have a factory 4-Way one will need to be installed using the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit, item # 18252.
You will then need to splice into the wiring behind the factory connection between the drivers side frame rail and the spare tire. Connect the Brake feed wire and the 12 volt power wire at the forward side of this connector using a circuit tester, item # 3808 if needed, to locate the correct wires. If you need the reverse circuit connected to the center pole, you will need to attach the remaining wire, behind the vehicle taillight, to the reverse light circuit.
