Custom 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Bracket Kit for 2008 Ford F-250 with 6-3/4 Foot Bed
Question:
I am interested in the Curt A16 for my 2008 F250 Super Duty. What type of installation kit do I need. Ive see installs with just rails. Also, some with a much more substantial set of rails the bolt to the frame of the truck. I had rather go a little overboard if necessary. Thanks

A fifth wheel trailer hitch installs into the bed of a truck using rails in the bed that are connected to the truck's frame using a bracket kit.
The custom bracket kit that fits your 2008 Ford F-250 is # C16448-204. This includes the base rails as well. I've linked an install video for you.
Since your truck is a 6-3/4 foot short bed you'll need a sliding hitch for turning clearance. The Curt A16 Slider is part # C16521.
