The Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars - 1" Thick Item # RM-035-1 are compatible with all Roadmaster motor home mounted tow bars. The latest and greatest is Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - RV Mount - 8K Item # RM-676.
The Nighthawk comes with safety cables, electrical umbilical, and LED lights which are all unique features for Roadmaster tow bars. It is made of aluminum, stainless steel, and powder coated steel parts so corrosion isn't an issue. I have linked a video review for you.
If you want something with fewer bells and whistles and a lower price tag I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motor Home Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs Item # RM-522. It does not have LED lights, electrical umbilical, or safety cables so the umbilical and safety cables would have to be purchased separately.
For lighting I recommend Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 if you go with the Falcon or another tow bar other than the Nighthawk. If you do choose the Nighthawk I recommend Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 since the Nighthawk does include a 6-Way to mount on the vehicle. So you would just cut the 4-Way off of the end of the diode kit that would normally be at the front of the vehicle.
For safety cables (if you don't do with the Nighthawk that is) I recommend Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables - 8,000 lbs # RM-645 if you go with the Falcon All-Terrain RM-522 or # RM-643 if you choose a tow bar without a safety cable guide.
You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the preferred systems for our installers and what I recommend is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO proportional system, # SM99251. It will apply the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
The # RM-88400 relay is required to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle. I have also included some helpful links to our series of help articles on flat towing for you.
