Recommended Load Range Rating of Replacement Radial Trailer Tires Size 175/80-13

Question:

I have a 2007 Aliner Cabin A2. I am looking to replace the wheels and tires. It calls for 175/80D-13. I am planning on using radial tires. the GVW is 2000 lbs. Would you recommend load c or d tires? Which tire brand would you recommend. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:

With a 2,000 pound trailer there's really no need to go with a D rated tire when the C tires are rated plenty high enough.

I recommend going with the Taskmaster Provider tires. The C rated tires have a max capacity of 1,360 pounds at 50 psi. They also have a speed rating of 81 mph, which is higher than a lot of trailer tires, and include Taskmaster's Platinum Plus Warranty. The warranty includes 2 years of complimentary roadside assistance, among other benefits.

We have a number of 175/80 R13 tire and wheel combos using the Providers. Just to name a few:

Silver Mod Wheel # TA73RR
White Mod Wheel # TA43RR
