What Is The Recommended Door Thickness For The Locking Flush Door Latch Part # L1883
Question:
I am looking at #L1883 and am wondering how far above the flange does the actual latching piece protrude. I have limited space and am wondering if I can make it fit. Also, based on some of the other questions, it seems it will work with 3/4inch thick door. Is that correct?

I went out to our warehouse and measured the "Junior" Locking Stainless Steel Flush Door Latch part # L1883 for you. The distance of the outer surface area that houses the 4 bolt holes is 1/2" on each side and the distance the latch protrudes out from the flange is 1/4" .
I called my contact at Redline Trailers and they informed me that this lock can be used on a 3/4" thick door. To open for the inside, I recommend using the Inside Knob for Locking Stainless Steel Flush Door Latch part # 4PLSP.
