Recommended Jack Stands For Long-Term Trailer Storage To Protect Tires

My boat trailer seems to blow tires after sitting long time in garage what can I do to prevent this .tires are inflated properly almost new but seems as they are separating not dry rot.

The best way to preserve your tires is to put the trailer up on jack stands, partially deflate the tires and protect them from UV rays which shouldn't be an issue in garage storage.

As a general rule of thumb, trailer tires should be replaced every 6 to 8 years regardless of wear. Even though an older tire might appear to have plenty of tread left on it, dry rot and cracking can cause tire failure. You mentioned age not being the issue, so the only cause of separation is misuse or manufacturer issue. Excessive heat build up from running the tires over their max speed or overloading their weight capacity can cause this.
