Were thinking about putting an EcoHitch 306-X7601 2 inch on our 2017 Subaru Outback. Could you tell us how far back the hitch pin hole is from the mouth of the receiver? Thanks.

I went out to the warehouse to take a look at the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7601 referenced in your question. I measured a distance of 2-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the mouth of the receiver. I have included an image with this dimension labeled.

This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch hitch receiver opening that is confirmed to fit your 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon. It will provide a 525 pound tongue weight capacity and no drilling will be required during installation. This has a really nice, hidden crosstube design that will give you a clean, from-the-factory look and a sturdy, lightweight alloy construction. All of the hardware needed for installation is included.
