Tongue Weight Capacity of Dual Hitch Receiver Adapters

Will the top of a dual hitch carry 300lbs? Thanks

The weight capacity of a dual hitch adapter like the Curt # D-192 is a total combined for the entire adapter. The Curt adapter has a total tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. So you won't be able to carry 300 pounds on just the top receiver unless the bottom one has very little weight on it.
In addition you will need to make sure that the hitch the adapter is installed in, and the vehicle with the hitch are both rated for the capacities you're tying to carry.
