Trailer Hitch Fit Recommendation for 1997 Ford Explorer
Question:
I was wondering does this hitch fit a 1997 explorer xlt 4wd? I bought a Curt 13540 hitch and I was told it was an exact fit but it wasnt wide enough to fit my frame. It was about a 1/2 too short.

Yes, the Draw Tite hitch part # 75083 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 1997 Ford Explorer. Check out the install video I attached for more info as well.
