How Far Do the Clamps Of the Truxedo TruXport Tonneau Fit Into The Bed Of A 2017 GMC Silverado 3500?

I have a 2017 GMC 3500 sierra truck. I bought a fuelbox tool and fuel combo, it measures 19 1/2foot x 30x 62inch across truck bed will I have enough clearance between the clamps to lift the lid of tool box when installed?

I reached out to my contact at Truxedo and the TruXedo TruXport Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # TX272201 is a confirmed fit for your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500. They couldn't give me the measurement between the clamps but they could give me the measurement of how far it impedes into your truck bed. There is a rail that sits inside the bed rail 7/16 inch and the clamp impedes a total of 1-1/2 inches on each side. You can move where the clamps are attached and they recommend putting two behind your tool box, two somewhere in the middle, and two near the rear. So you will need to account for 3 inches total width at those locations.
