Recommended 15 Inch Trailer Tires and Wheels for Long Life
Question:
How are you guys able to sell a wheel and tire for almost what the tire would cost a most other places? The wheels I have had on my 8000 lb camper for 15 years. I have changed the tires, but not the wheels. l am looking to replace the wheels and tires this time. What kind of life can I expect out of the tire and wheel combo Load rating E 15inch ?

We like to keep our prices pretty competitive.
We recommend that trailer tires be replaced every 6 or 7 years regardless of how worn they are. Since trailer tires are often not used everyday, like vehicle tires, a lot of times they get old before they wear out. Tires break down over time just from being exposed to the elements like sunlight and saltwater.
A trailer wheel will last much longer than the tires, often for many years, depending on how the trailer is used and the construction of the wheel. For example if you have a steel wheel on a boat trailer that regularly is in and out of water it will corrode faster than a wheel designed for marine use.
I've attached a link of all the tire and wheel combos we carry for 15 inch rims that are load range E. They're all 225/75-15 sized tires and the rims have a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.
The most popular of the selection is # LHAW124 that has a maximum weight capacity of 2,830 pounds at 80 psi. It's also rated up to 75 mph which is faster than a lot of trailer tires.
