We called our contact at Tekonsha about your 2017 Tundra and the OEM brake controller. They have not received any bulletins or information about the OEM controllers. We have not had the opportunity to install a brake controller on a 2017 Tundra that has an OEM controller already installed.
They told me that you may have to get the computer 'flashed' in your Tundra at the dealership when you remove the OEM and replace it with the P3, part # 90195. This is a discussion you would need to have with your dealership. We also have the plug-in adapter, part # 3031-P that plugs into the built-in port behind the dash of your vehicle.
