Bike Rack Recommendation for 2012 Chevy Camaro SS with Ground Effects

Question:

I have a 2012 camaro 2ss with what I think is the zl1 ground effects kit installed and am wondering is there a bike rack/hitch connection that will work for my application. I can send pictures when responded to.

I wish we had a hitch that would fit your 2012 Chevy Camaro SS, but if you have the ZL1 ground effects (or any other style of ground effects), none of the hitches we offer will fit.

What you can do is use a trunk mount bike carrier such as the Hollywood Racks Expedition # HRF6-2 for 2 bikes. The bottom straps will probably have to connect somewhere on the frame of the vehicle though.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
