Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport Behind a Winnebago RV
Question:
We have a 2011 Winnebago View and just purchased a 2015 Jeep Wangler sport with standard bumpers. First timers for towing a dingy vehicle. Do you sell a complete package using the falcon all Terrain and SMI braking system.

All in one packages for flat towing are coming soon but in the mean time I can tell you all of the individual parts you will need to flat tow your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport. It is a lot of information to go through so don't hesitate to ask any follow-up questions.
The first thing you will need is a set of base plates. The base plates will mount to the front of your Jeep and provide a safe and proper attachment point for a tow bar. Since your Jeep has the standard bumper you can use Roadmaster base plates # RM-521448-4. These base plates are also compatible with the Falcon tow bars including the All-Terrain model # RM-522.
You will also need safety cables. The cables are a fail safe should the Jeep become disconnected from the Winnebago. The cables will keep the Jeep tethered to the RV until you can safely get off the road. I recommend straight cables # RM-645 because the Falcon All-Terrain has channels for the cables so they are out of the way.
The Jeep will also need to be equipped with a lighting system. A popular option for Jeep owner's is a diode system such as # RM-15267. I have linked a video showing how diodes install on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler for you. Once installed you will not have to worry about this system again.
You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. Since your Winnebago View has air brakes the best system is the Air Force One # SM99243. Since it's designed or motorhomes with air brakes it prevents the false braking you see with other systems.
For the braking system to work properly # RM-88400 relay is required to prevent the Jeep's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the Winnebago when applying the brakes during a turn.
Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle. I have also included some helpful links to our series of help articles on flat towing for you.
