Best Installation Option for the T-One Wiring Harness on a 2017 Honda Pilot
Question:
Rather than lead wiring out bottom hole and using grommet, is, leaving harness loose in compartment and leading it out back for connection only when occasionally needed alright to do? Will wires be ok and not crushed when closing back hatch? Im thinking leading out the bottom hole and exposed all winter in the northeast elements snow, ice, mud, etc. might deteriorate wires? Thoughts please. Maybe Im to cautious? I only tow dozen times a year in the summer months.

Yes, you will be able to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118760, without pushing the harness through the grommet hole in the body of your 2017 Honda Pilot.
The Curt T-Connector, # C56291, would be the better option if you want to not use the grommet hole in you vehicle's body. The Curt harness is designed to store in the interior body compartment of the Pilot. No need to install this harness through the Pilot's body.
