Recommended Gooseneck System For Factory System And 5th Wheel Rails And Hitch For 2012 Ford F-350

Question:

Hi I plan on purchasing a 2017 Road Warrior 5th wheel RV within the next 2 weeks, Hitch weight 3620, Dry weight 16698, Gross weight 20000, I will be pulling with a 2012 Ford F-350 diesel DRW, the truck already has a Goose neck set up under the bed but no King pin. My question is which King pin and which Anderson hitch should I go with? Thanks!

If you have the 3 puck or 5 puck factory underbed gooseneck setup On your 2012 Ford F-350 diesel, I recommend the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loops Kit # C60692. I also recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long # C56000 for easier access to your connection.

We no longer carry the Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel hitch that converts the gooseneck to 5th wheel. If you have the 5 pucks, you can use the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3300 which will fit directly in your factory pucks and has the towing capacity you need. If you don't have this puck system, I don't recommend using another adapter to a gooseneck because it won't be able to handle your trailer weight and in many cases will void a trailer warranty.

For your application if you don't have 5th wheel hitch factory pucks, I recommend using 5th wheel rails like # RP50026-58 confirmed to be a custom fit for your truck as well as the Curt Q20 # C16130. This will make you much happier over the long run as you tow that heavy a trailer. It will be a much sturdier system that will travel much better.
