4-Way to 5-Way Recommendation for 2009 Toyota Sequoia for Towing Boat Trailer with Surge Brakes

Question:

I just sold a boat and bought a newer, bigger boat that has a 5 pin light connection. I have a 2009 sequoia SR5 and need to rewire.

Since your 2009 Toyota Sequoia has a 4-way already installed at the rear all you need to convert it to a 5-way is the part # 20036 which simply plugs inline with the 4-way you have and then allows you to run the additional 5th circuit to the reverse light circuit of the vehicle.

I attached an install video for this adapter for you to check out as well that shows it installed on a similar vehicle to give you an idea what is required.
