Parts Needed to Install Curt Venturer Trailer Brake Controller in 2017 Chevrolet Traverse

I was wanting to know if item #118271 would allow my electric brake to become functional on my trailer by using the kit and the brake controller kit that I purchased earlier. I purchased the 4 flat kit with my brake controller earlier.

Thank you for your brake controller purchase of the Curt Venturer # C74VV.

For any trailer brake controller to send its signals to your trailer's electric drum brakes you need a fully-functioning 7-way connector like the one in kit # 118271. This particular kit is intended for vehicles with the OEM towing package but it is also possible to install a 7-way and brake controller on a vehicle without the factory tow package.

If your Traverse did NOT have the factory 7-way the items needed to install the Venturer are the wiring adapter # C51515, the # ETBC7 7-way install kit and the 4-pole harness # 118270. The # ETBC7 contains all the parts needed to convert the basic 4-pole lighting harness to a full 7-way set-up with brake and 12V power circuits.
