Supplemental Braking System Recommendation Instead of Blue Ox Auto Stop
Question:
My battery must be disconnected to flat tow. Where will the power to operate the indicator light come from if the light is connected to an unpowered fuse box?

That's a good point. And is one of the reasons I don't like to recommend the Autostop. Besides the fact our installers are not fans at all of it. Their feedback is that it is difficult to install and doesn't function well.
I'd rather recommend the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR which is a proportional controller that works much better and installs much easier. To power this you would then want the part # RM-9332 which is an outlet kit that attaches directly to the battery to draw power from. This allows you to leave the battery disconnected.
