Will Installing a Brake Controller Effect the Speedometer on a 2007 Silverado Classic 1500

hI, AND THY FOR YOURfoot HELP AND TIME. I AM A 100 DISABLED VIETNAM VET. I PAID A GARAGE TO INSTALL THE BRAKE CONTROLLER AND NOW MY SPEEDOMETER DOESNT WORK. THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON SHOWING ANY MALFUNCTIONS. dID HE SHORT SOMETHING OUT? iS THERE A FUSE THAT CONTROLS THE SPEEDOMETER i CAN CHECK? BY THE WAY, SORRY FOR THE LARGE PRINT, BUT DANG NEAR BLIND HERE AND CANT SEE SMALLER PRINT. aNY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED MATE. tHANKS AGAIUN. PS. THIS IS THE TRAILER i HAD THE CONTROLLER INSTALLED FOR.

To install a brake controller on your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500, all the garage would have had to do is plug the harness into the connector under your driver's side dash. If you had the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 installed the connector would have been part # 3015-P. The garage would not have been messing with any fuses. If your Silverado didn't come with the connector then they would have had to do some simple splicing.
From an online manual that I found for your 2007 Silverado the Fuse for the instrument panel cluster is number 48 which will be on the bottom of the center portion of your fuse block. The fuse block can be found under your hood on the driver's side. You can check this fuse just to make sure but if the garage just installed the brake controller then there shouldn't be any reason that they would have cause the speedometer to stop working.
