Location Recommendation for Switches of Ultra Fab Powered Stabilizer Jack
Question:
WHERE WOULD YOU RECOMEND LOCATING OF UP AND DOWN SWITCHES AND DO THE MOTORS STOP AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU PUT THEM UP OR WILL I JUST KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU BLOW A FUSE? HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THEY ARE UP ALL THE WAY IN THE HOME POSITION ?

Expert Reply:
Typically the switches of the Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer # UF39-941705 that you referenced gets mounted to the trailer frame. UF prefers if you can mount them in a storage bin or somewhere else that's at least slightly weatherproof and child proof.
You'll want to keep an eye on the legs of the jack as you raise and lower them and release the switch when the legs are all the way up. The motor will continue to run if you raise the jacks all the way up but you wouldn't need to be too afraid of blowing the fuse if you were to let it run a second too long. Just don't sit there laying on the switch if the jacks are up already and you'll be fine.
