Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar
Question:
I have a Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain tow bar and would like to tow a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. What base plate and brake wiring kit do you recommend that I purchase? Thanks

All Roadmaster base plate kits can be used with the Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522. For your 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee I recommend the XL Base Plate Kit # 1419-5. These are a custom fit and are also compatible with all Roadmaser tow bars.
For safety cables use # RM-643. They're coiled which helps keep them off the ground.
To power the Jeep's lights I suggest the diode kit # RM-15267. This will use the vehicle's tail lights by connecting to the RV and includes the cord to go between the two.
For a supplemental braking system the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is a favorite around here because of how reliable it is and it's easier to install than many other permanently installed systems.
Finally, you'll likely need a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop your setup requires. I've also linked our selection of adapters for you to look at once you know what you need.
In addition to my recommendations I've linked some articles on flat towing that you may find helpful.
