Recommended Strap Hinge to Replace Continuous Hinge on Enclosed Trailer Door

Question:

I have a 98 Pace enclosed trailer with a side door 4x 8foot side door with a continuous hinge that got messed up in the wind. So looking to replace with strap hinges? What would you recommend?

Expert Reply:

I recommend going with the Polar Wide Bracket Strap Hinge # PLR2008-AS. The strap is 8 inches long and has 3 holes to install on the door as well as 3 mounting holes on the bracket. The hinge is also made out of aluminum so it will have superior resistance to rust and corrosion than most other hinges. If you go with 3 of these along the top, midsection, and bottom of your door it will help to keep your door intact when gusts of wind comes.

I have attached a review video of this hinge that demonstrates the dimensions of the hinge and holes for your to check out.
