Universal 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit Instructions for a 2011 Ford F-350 Short Bed
Question:
I would like to install the universal rail kit 30035 on my 2011 F-350 Diesel truck with a 6 3/4 ft box. I do not want to use the Quick install brackets. Are the measurements from the back of the box the same as they are on the older model trucks?

According to the installation instructions for the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit, # RP30035, the measurement from the forward rail to the cab is not provided. But they have provided the distance from the rear edge of the bed to the back edge of the rearward rail as 32-1/2 inches.
It also shows that the center of the hitch jaw should be approximately 4 inches forward of the center of the rear axle. Given those dimensions, you should be able to determine hitch and rail placement. I have included a link to the installation instructions for reference. The 2011 shares the same instructions as the 2008 to 2010 for this kit.
