The reason why some bike racks and cargo carriers are rated for use at the rear of an RV or Trailer and others are not has to do with the fact that the ride is a lot more rough. Since there is more distance from the rear axle to the trailer hitch receiver on an RV or Trailer as opposed to a passenger vehicle, there is a lot more play. Because of this, manufacturers will test and approve which bike racks or cargo carriers can be used at the back of an RV or Trailer.
The Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style, part # S64650, is not rated for use at the back of your RV, but we do have some other bike racks which have been approved for your application.
The Swagman Dispatch, part # S44FR, is a 2 bike platform rack that has been approved for use on an RV. This bike back has a lot of similar features, but also includes locks for the bike rack and your bikes. This will help deter theft and give you some peace of mind when making stops at a gas station or for a meal. The weight capacity for the Dispatch is 45 lbs per bike. If any of your bikes have a step-through frame, you might want to consider using an adapter bar # 64005.
