Dimension/Clearance Dimensions Between Kuat NV and NV Base Bike Racks
Question:
Will the Kuat NV2.0 base model fit on a 2011 Honda Odyssey when folded up? One of the previous experts mentions that the distance to the hitch pin is shorter for the base model vs. the regular. I was thinking that the base model and regular model were essentially identical except that the base model does not have the work stand included. But, with the differences in hitch pin location, this assumption appears to be incorrect. Can you explain what exactly the differences are between the two models of bike racks? thanks,

The big difference is the bike stand that the NV 2.0 part # NV22G comes with and the lack of it on the # BA22B which is the base model of this rack. For the NV 2.0 here are the dimensions:
Closest part of rack when folded down: 10-1/2"
Closest part of rack when folded up: 7"
Farthest part of rack when folded down: 33"
Farthest part of rack when folded up: 18-1/2"
For the base model here are the dimensions:
Closest part of rack when folded down: 11-3/4"
Closest part of rack when folded up: 6-5/8"
Farthest part of rack when folded down: 35-3/8"
Farthest part of rack when folded up: 17-7/8"
The presense of the stand does change a few of the dimensions by a little bit.
