We actually have quite a few products that you can use as a 5th Wheel to Gooseneck adapter, I am linking the product selection page so you can view the different options to see what you might like. Unfortunately we do not offer any replacement pin boxes that are compatible with your RBW 7028 pin box.

Although we have many options, there are a few choices that are much better than other options.

Since you have a short bed, the recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for you would be a sliding 5th wheel hitch. B&W came up with an excellent solution by creating the Companion Slider # BWRVK3400 which was specially created by B&W to convert your B&W Gooseneck hitch to a 5th wheel hitch. Since this option includes the slider, this is the best solution for your setup.

The next best thing is the Convert-A-Ball 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216. Since this option does not give you that sliding feature it is not necessarily the ideal solution. It does offer an offset of 7-1/2 inches, so if you are a more skilled trailer driver you can definitely make this work to your advantage.

If you are needing to replace your pin box as well, then what you might want to do is use the non-sliding version of the B&W Companion, part # BWRVK3500-5W, with a Sidewinder pin box. The reason this is a better route to take is because the non-sliding version is about 75 lbs lighter than the sliding Companion, which means you can have an open truck bed with much less effort. A Sidewinder pin box, like part # RP34FR which is rated for 20,000 lbs, has a rotating turret which changes the pivot point of your setup from over the 5th wheel hitch, to where the pin box installs on your trailer. This will provide you with an additional 22 inches of clearance when making those sharp turns, plus you will not have to get out of your Silverado to unlock the sliding feature on the Companion. If you would still like to use the sliding Companion, part # BWRVK3400, then I recommend using the Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel King Pin, part # UF35-946212, which will help to greatly reduce road shock, and improve overall ride and handling.
