I have a solution. By using the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Wiring Harness and Kit, # 119250KIT, you will be able to wire your trailer light to run directly off your vehicle's battery. Eliminating the excessive draw off your vehicle's lighting wiring.
The module has a power wire that is connected directly to the battery to make sure you do not have any power loss when using the trailer lights. The rest of the wiring on the module will connect to your vehicle trailer lighting wires without splicing into your system. The kit includes a small test light to use to find the correct lighting circuit when connection the modulite control box.
