7-Way Wiring Harness for a 2017 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Do you make a towing harness for a 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE with a 7 pin round connector with electric brake controller?

Expert Reply:
If you already have the 4-Way wiring harness installed on your 2017 Toyota Highlander, than all you will need to do is install the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. If you do not already have a 4-Way at the rear of your Highlander, and if you have the factory tow package, you can use the Curt T-Connector # 56042. Otherwise you can install the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness # 118449 if you do not already have the tow package.
The ETBC7 kit will add a 4-Way and a 7-Way wiring harness to the rear of your Highlander and enable you to connect with the 7-Way on your trailer. It also includes all of the wiring and connections that you will need to properly install this kit. This will plug directly into your 4-Way and then you will run the wiring up to your brake controller and your battery for those signals. If you do not want to drill the bracket which holds the harness into your trailer hitch frame I recommend going with either the Long # C57202 or Short # 18140 No-Drill mounting bracket.
If you do not already have a brake controller, then I recommend going with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This brake controller is easy to use and has an LCD screen which makes setting up and using it a lot easier as well.
I have attached an install video of the ETBC7 and Prodigy P3 being added to a 2013 Highlander for you to follow.
