Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver, Ball Mount, And Wiring For 2016 Honda Fit

I want to buy a hitch for my 2016 Honda Fit, but the trailer I am looking at to buy has a 1 7/8 opening. Your product say it is 1 1/4. Can this be changed?

To make your 2016 Honda Fit ready for your trailer coupler, I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24920. This trailer hitch receiver will be used with the Class II Drawbar 2-5/8" Rise or 3-1/4" Drop (Kit) # 36071 which comes with the pin and clip. You will then connect the Hitch Ball with 1-7/8" Diameter and Short Shank, 2000 lbs GTW - Chrome # 19256. This combination will fit the 1-7/8 inch coupler on the trailer you are looking to buy.
For wiring, I recommend the kit that doesn't require splicing, the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This harness draws power directly from your battery to protect your vehicle electronics. This will capture the signal in your factory wires without splicing into them.
