What you will need is a 4- to 7-Way adapter. Adapter # 47345 does the opposite and plugs into a vehicle side 7-Way connector. In order to add a 7-Way connector to your 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe you will need to first install the 4-Way. If your Santa Fe came with the factory tow package then # 118258 is correct. If it did not come with the factory tow package then you would need # 118415 instead.
After the 4-Way is installed you can add the 4- to 7-Way adapter. There are a couple of ways to do this. If you just want lights only to work on the trailer then all you will need is # 37185. The 4-Way plugs into it and you will ground the white wire from 37185 to a clean metal surface. The other wires on the adapter can be capped off and stowed out of the way.
If the trailer has electric brakes, reverse lights, and/or 12 volt accessories that need power (such as a battery) then I recommend # ETBC7 which includes the wiring and accessories to make the 7-Way fully functional. Then the only other part needed will be a brake controller to activate the trailer brakes (if it has them). I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation.
