Trailer HItch Recommendation for 2017 Honda CR-V For Carrying Bike Rack
Question:
I am purchasing a hitch for my new 2017 Honda CRV EX to carry bikes on a Thule rack that I previously purchased from you for another vehicle. It seems that you carry two hitches for this new car, one with a 1 1/4inch opening and the other with a 2inch opening. In the product description for the hitch with the 2inch opening, it says The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection. Can you tell me if both of these hitches have this paint/rust treatment, or is it only the 2inch one that has this extra rust protection approach? Thanks,

Both of the Draw Tite hitches that fit your 2017 Honda CR-V have the same powder coat finish that helps to fight corrosion.
That being said whenever available I recommend going with a 2 inch hitch as it will have more capacity and have more accessories made for it since that's a more popular hitch size.
For your CR-V the part # 76128 would be the better choice that I would recommend. Unless you have a hitch rack that only fits 1-1/4 inch hitches. Then you would want the part # 36597.
