I was wondering if can a Hopkins Agility Electric Brake Controller Be Installed on a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Ext Cab 4X4. Also what additional parts will I need if my truck doesnt includes a tow package.

Yes, you can install a Hopkins Agility, part # HM47294, in your 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab 4x4. I attached installation instructions below for you to check out.

You will need a few more items also. First thing you will need is a kit to give you a 4-way flat connector at the rear of your vehicle. You would want a Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the 1996 Dodge Ram Pickup, part # 118329. I attached installation instructions and a link to an installation video for this product below for you to check out also.

Next thing you will need is a Brake Controller 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit - 10 Gauge, part # ETBC7. You will plug the 4-way you just installed into this kit and then run the remaining wires to their respective locations and you will be ready to use the # HM47294.
