Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Compatible With 2016 Volvo XC60
Question:
Any insight to why they say the TH65JV will not fit a 2016 XC60, but it has basically the same top strap design as the TH45JV that Ive seen in the install videos? I would prefer the TH65JV with the trays at the bottom.

We don't have any trunk mounted Thule bike rack fits for the 2016 Volvo XC60. I reached out to Thule and they said it is a spoiler issue. You are correct that the strap is basically the same for other models and even different companies, but Thule will not confirm the fit of the # TH65JV or the # TH45JV you mentioned.
For a trunk mounted option that is a confirmed fit, I recommend the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # Y02634. This rack has an adjustable interlocking hub to adjust the base for fit. It has 4 cam buckle straps with hoots. It also comes with safety strap and integrated cable lock for security. I recommend using the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar # Y02531 for any step through frames. This will allow level transport by creating a top rail and will improve ground clearance.
