Can I Use a Weight Distribution Hitch on a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica With Self Leveling Rear Shocks
Question:
I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica with a mechanical style self leveling rear shocks not air bags. Would a standard WD hitch work with my vehicle? Would I need to do anything different to use a WD hitch on my vehicle.

You can use any standard Weight Distribution (WD) system with the self leveling shocks on your 2006 Chrysler Pacifica.
Keep in mind that you will need to check your owner's manual before towing with your Pacifica so that you know the Gross Towing Weight for your vehicle.
When choosing a WD system, you will want to find one that has a weight range that you Total Tongue Weight (TTW) falls in the middle of. Total Tongue Weight is the Tongue Weight of your loaded and ready-to-go trailer, plus any cargo that you will have behind the rear axle of your Pacifica. I looked up your owner's manual and it looks like the Maximum Weight that you could possibly pull safely would be 3,500 lbs (make sure to check your copy of your owner's manual to double check for your application). Since this is the case, the Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU36FR would be an excellent choice for you. It has the appropriate weight range and helps to prevent sway before it starts.
If you let me know the Tongue Weight of your trailer and the weight of the cargo behind your rear axle I can make some recommendations for you.
