Question:
bought a 2004 fleetwood southwind 36e motorhome 36foot on a ford 550 stripped chassis. ordered ride-rite 2189 airbags looked like the may fit in the pictures. told discontinued, but airlift 57154 was the same crossover. got the airlift bags completely different. thought they may go started the install checked the leaf spring u-bolt which are 3inch three inch and my leaf springs are 4inch four inch. l have researched this for hours videos, diagrams, pictures, websites. all the installs say to install behind the front axle. this motorhome shock mount is welded directly across the leaf spring 6 1/2inch six and one half inches to the rear from the center of the front axle and bolted with aprox. 5/8inch bolt. the rite-ride may work or possibly flip around switch top brackets from side to side to put the bags in front of the axle and may have to drill one hole for the side bracket hole. this motorhome has a single bolt jouance not a double. Ive had other motorhomes with sway problems bags fixed it. Need help and bags. trying to get shocks to this ford is a problem. on it are Bilstien 3C34 18045 AA front 3C34 18080 BA rear old numbers, Bilstien website cross over has no such number from old to new. like Monroe. what the H! If you are trying to improve the ride quality of your 2004 Fleetwood Southwind 36E the best option we can offer would be a rear sway bar part number # RM-1139-148. This will make the biggest improvement.
We currently do not have an air bag setup that I can recommend that would work well for you.
