On your 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, no brake controller plug is present under the dash, but the wires are already run to install the Hopkins Agility Electric Brake Controller, part # HM47294. You only need to connect the brake control wiring with the vehicle wiring already present under the dash. The vehicle wiring is located below the steering column, left of the brake pedal, and is taped together with white tape. There is not a connector on the end of these wires so the Hopkins brake controller will need to be spliced directly to these wires with the included connectors.
The wire colors could be, but not always, Red/Black, connects to the black wire on the brake controller. White, connects to white on the brake controller. Light Blue/White, connects to red on the brake controller. Dark blue, connects to the blue wire on the brake controller. If you also see a orange wire, it is not needed. The wire bundle is usually held together with a white tag that has the wrie functions on it.
If your truck does not have a factory 7-Way at the rear of the vehicle, you will also need Pollak Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, # PK11916. I have included a video showing installation of this wiring harness below.
I am including a link to the instructions on the Hopkins # HM47294 brake controller and a link to a FAQ page that will have a step-by-step instructions on how to wire a brake controller to your vehicle.
