Hitch Receiver & Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Recommendations for 2008 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I have a Toyota 2008 Rav4. Can you suggest a hitch 2 and a bike carrier for at least two bikes. The car is old, so I would prefer a solution which is minimum cost.

The 2-inch hitch I recommend for your 2008 Toyota RAV4 is the etrailer # e98864 which offers no-drill installation using included hardware and that also happens to be the lowest-cost option in a Class III hitch. I linked an installation video for you.
Bike rack options include very cost-effective products like the Swagman XC # S64650, which I often recommend. This rack packs a lot of value: it works in both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, it is lightweight, it offers a 35-lbs-per-bike weight rating and it provides good clearance at the back of the car - important if you have the rear-mounted spare.
If you prefer a platform style rack you might consider the Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack # S64670. For 4-bike capacity I suggest the Thule hanging-style rack # TH934XTR, their Hitching Post Pro.
