Will Draw Tite Trailer Hitch Fit 2014 Ford Escape with Hands Free Liftgate

I have a 2014 Ford Escape titanium 2.0 ecoboost and was looking to put a trailer hitch on it to pull a trailer for my lawn mower and stuff but I am a little confused on the note ford put with there factory hitch Vehicle Notes: For vehicles with Handsfree Liftgate, additional components Liftgate Control Module and Liftgate Sensor may need to be replaced at additional cost to retain Handsfree Liftgate function with the Accessory Trailer Hitchinch I have read you lose center sensor when installing a hitch and I also read that it may mess up your sensors so none work.

Draw Tite states that their hitch part # 75758 is a fit for your 2014 Ford Escape and with it you only are limited in where the foot placement activates the hands free liftgate.
Basically you would just need to swing your foot on either side of the hitch opening and the gate would open.
