Question:
Will the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Electronic Brake Control work with my Range Rover or do I need to purchase additional things?

The Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller, # TK94FR, will work on your 2004 Land Rover Discovery II. However, you will need to have a 4-pole flat and a 7-way trailer connector installed on the vehicle for this brake controller to work.
If you do not have a 4-pole flat, then I recommend the Tekonsha Tail Light Convertor # 119178KIT. This kit will allow you to install the 4-pole flat plug needed to run the trailer turn, tail, and stop lights off of your vehicle's electrical system.
You will also need to install a # ETBC7 7-way connector. The 4-pole flat will connect to the kit's 7-way connector. This will connect your vehicle's lighting to your trailer.
Next, the only other connections needed will be a 12-volt power from the battery to the 7-way to power the Prodigy RF module. You will use the jacketed 2-wire duplex wire included in the kit. Connect the black wire to the battery at one end and the white to ground. Then run the wires back to the 7-way. Connect the black power wire to the center pin of the 7-way connector. The white wire to the white wire on the connector. The remaining wires on the 7-way can be taped together and placed out of the way. These wires will not be used.
I have linked a couple videos on the Prodigy RF controller as well as a couple of help articles on trailer wiring for you to review.
