Will Thule T2 Bike Rack Clear Rear Spare of 2008 FJ Cruiser
Question:
Will this work with my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser with a spare tire?

The Thule T2 Pro XTR part # TH83JV will not clear the rear spare tire of your 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. When we installed the Draw Tite hitch part # 75461 on a 2008 FJ it had a distance of 9 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside of the spare tire. The # TH83JV has 7 inches from it's pin hole to the nearest wheel tray so it will not fit.
We do have a platform bike that will clear while in use, but not when it is folded. The Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Matte Black # BA22B has 11-3/4" clearance when in use so you will have plenty of room with this one. However the closest part of the rack when folded would be only 6-5/8" so you would not be able to use this feature.
