2017 Honda CRV Trailer Hitch Receiver Round Tube Dimension Comparison
Question:
Hi, can you tell me if the tube dimensions are smaller for the 1 1/4inch hitch 36597 than for the 2inch hitch 76128. I ask because Im wondering if the 1 1/4inch hitch is less conspicuous/prominent or if they are basically the same other then the hitch receiver opening. Thank you.

For your 2017 Honda CR-V, there is a difference between the 1-1/4 inch receiver versus the 2 inch receiver other than just the receiver opening. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # 36597 has a round tube that is just under 2 inches in diameter. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76128 has a round tube diameter of 2-1/2 inches.
If you will be using this hitch receiver for towing or need a lighted accessory, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118741. This wiring requires no splicing, just connecting to the vehicle wiring that is located in the cargo area behind the driver's side interior trim panel.
I have linked the page to all you ball mount options if you will be towing.
