Installation of Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2017 Honda CR-V

Question:

Could you please provide me with the installation instructions for the 1 1/4 inch #36597 hitch by email. Im purchasing the new Honda and would like to assess how hard it might be for me to install the hitch by myself, before deciding to fork over the $1300 Honda wants for one of theirs seems like an outrageous price!. Also, Id appreciate receiving instructions for your wiring harness for the same vehicle, if available. Thanks. Alan

I've linked a video of the Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36597 being installed on a 2017 Honda CR-V. Unfortunately, a copy of the instructions isn't available to use yet.

The wiring harness for the CR-V is # 118741 which we don't have a video for as of yet. We likely will soon. The installation is fairly simple. It plugs directly into the wiring of the CR-V behind a trim panel on the driver's side in the rear cargo area. Then after the harness is connected you'll need to install the included fuse in the compartment beneath the dashboard on the driver's side.

If you also need a ball mount I've linked our selection that will fit the 1-1/4 inch Draw-Tite hitch. As well as an article to help you determine the rise or drop you'll need.
