Parts Needed for 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for Flat Towing
Question:
Hi, I am looking to setup a 2016 Cherokee for flat towing. In one place you guys recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit Item # RM-15267 but when I go there it says it is NOT compatible. The basic wiring version 15267 is compatible but only has the 4 wire plug and no connection to the rv. My goal is to get the lights and also a hot lead to use with a battery maintainer I think I need something to keep the battery from going dead but... The 15267 is nice because it has the 7-6 coiled wire and the female plug and bracket that I can wire for a hot lead to the battery maintainer. Please advise Thanks P.S. I am planning on the SMI Stay and Play for braking - any thoughts?

I checked with Roadmaster just now and for your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk the # RM-15267 is a confirmed fit and would work well for tow bar lighting.
For a base plate kit you would want the part # RM-521446-4 which is a confirmed fit. Then the most popular tow bar is the Falcon part # RM-520.
The SMI DUO part # SM99251 would then fit the vehicle as well. I attached an install video that shows this in a similar Cherokee as well.
For a charge line you then would want the part # RM-156-25 which you could integrate into the 7-way of the lighting kit.
