You will need to check out your trailer hitch and see if you can use a weight distribution system with it. On most trailer hitches, using a weight distribution system will increase the towing capacity as well as the tongue weight capacity by quite a lot. For example, the hitch we offer that will work with your 2013 LR4 is part # 13456. This hitch has a 6,000-lb towing capacity with a 600-lb tongue weight capacity. With weight distribution those numbers jump to 8,000-lbs and 800-lbs tongue weight capacity.
The best way to determine what system will work for you is to know what your total tongue weight is. The total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully-loaded-ready-to-tow trailer added to the weight of any cargo you place behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. You will then want to find a system where your total tongue weight falls near the middle of the tongue weight range for the system. Getting a system that is too small will be useless, but getting a system that is too big will result in a stiff, uncomfortable experience.
For the weight you said you have with tongue weight I recommend a system like part # RP66560. This system has a tongue weight capacity between 600 and 1,200-lbs. The system also features sway control that helps keep the trailer under control when traveling in high winds and when large trucks pass by.
The hitch ball is sold separately for this system. For a 2-inch ball I recommend part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball use part # 19286.
