What is the Difference Between Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar and Stock Bar on 2007 Chevy Tahoe

Question:

I currently have a 2007 Tahoe 4wd. I wanted to improve my sway control towing my 27ft Travel trailer. I was wondering if the roadmaster swaybar would be an improvement from the OEM. If so, why?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar # RM-1109-168 for the 2007 Chevy Tahoe is made of 1-1/8 inch diameter chromoly steel so it is larger and made of better materials than the stock bar. The larger and stronger the bar the more effective it is.

The bar also comes with upgraded bushings made from polyurethane which is more durable than standard rubber bushings. This means the bushings will last longer and since they won't wear out as quickly as rubber the bar won't be able move which will prolong the improved performance of the upgraded bar.

As far as vehicle stability installing an upgraded rear anti-sway bar is the single best upgrade you can make and will help when towing and not towing.
