To choose the correct ball mount and hitch ball you first need to determine if you'll need a rise or drop to tow your trailer. I've attached an article that explains this but basically you need to measure from the ground to the inside top of the hitch receiver. Then measure from the ground to the bottom of your trailer's coupler. Make sure they're both parked on level ground. If the hitch receiver is higher you'll need a ball mount with a drop and if the coupler is higher you'll need a rise. The difference between the two measurements will tell you how much of either.
Once you find the correct rise or drop you need you can use the attached link to then find the correct ball mount. The corresponding hitch ball will be a related item to whichever ball mount you choose. The size of the hitch ball, either 2 inch or 1-7/8 inch, will be whatever your trailer's coupler fits.
Another option is to use an adjustable ball mount. For example, the B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10035B provides either 3 inches of drop or 3-1/2 inches or rise. It also includes both a 2 inch and a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball.
